Calvin is FOUR!

Just bear with this long post with lots of pictures. I had a hard time choosing which ones to post. I can't believe it was four years ago that Calvin was born into our family. He has added so much joy and happiness to our home.  I must say that Calvin has taught me a lot about myself being his mom.  I feel my patience has increased (and has yet room for improvement).  He has an amazing imagination and I never quite know what will come out of his mouth when he says, "I've got an idea!"  We love our sweet Calvin and are excited for this upcoming year!

A couple weeks ago we went to Sacramento for our nephew's baby blessing.  We went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner and they sang Happy Birthday to Calvin.  He was really happy about that!

During Sacrament Meeting Levi feel asleep and slept pretty much the whole time.  That hasn't happened since he was a little baby.  We have been cutting his naps short in hopes he will sleep in later in the morning.  He was not happy to be woken up as you can tell from this picture.
It was a great weekend and we were so glad that we were able to come!

Last Saturday we had Calvin's birthday party at a park and had a bunch of water games.  His friends from Joy School (and their families), Aunt Kathryn, and Gordon/Chrissy/Spencer Dix all came to the party.

We got squirt guns for all the kids (and some adults too) and that was a big hit!  Levi liked them because he could get a drink whenever he wanted! :)

Gordon was ganged up on a few times by all the kids.
We also did a water relay race but I think the kids were a little too young for it.
Then we brought out the water balloons.

The face of innocence, right? ;0)

We also did a water balloon toss with the adults.  We were pretty good I must say.

These boys are so cute together.

Gordon had to protect himself from all the other kids.

Calvin loved all the presents he got from his friends, but I think one of his favorites was this alligator pool toy the Dix's gave him.  I'm hoping it's warm enough this week to try it out in the pool!

Sunday morning Calvin opened his presents from his mom and dad.  Notice all the wrapping paper is green.  Calvin is just a little obsessed with the color green.

A fun game Grandma/Grandpa Black got him.

Sir Calvin!

I just had to post his reaction to his final present.

Happy Birthday Calvin!  We love you!

I love how he just LOVES the scooter before he even knows what it is. So grateful Calvin is in the family. Life would be somewhat boring without the color he brings to everyday life :)

Wow! I can't believe how big Calvin has gotten! Jessica was just passing by while I was looking at the pictures of Calvin and Levi at the party and said "They're so cute!"
I can't really say that they aren't! I haven't seen Calvin in 2 or 3 years! (Besides the pictures) I really miss him and can't wait to see him again! :')
