The NoOnProp8 campaign has stated on their website, "Prop 8 isn't about schools, religion, children, doctors or courts." I don't see how they can argue this. Adoption agencies have been sued, doctors have been sued, teachers are reading books to their students about gay couples, Catholic charities have been sued, and more you can check out here. Marriage is about families and children. It is NOT only going to affect the two people involved in the relationship. It is going to affect everybody in the state of California (and consequently the US and world).
If we undermine the traditional definition of marriage, then soon enough there won't be any definition of marriage at all.
We can make a choice to vote on this issue, but we cannot choose the consequences of our choices. Do we really want to chance changing what God has established from Adam and Eve?

Blog entry from Leah (my way-cool sister-in-law)
"And now it came to pass that when Moroni, who was the chief commander of the armies of the Nephites, had heard of these dissensions, he was angry with Amalickiah.
"And it came to pass that he rent his coat; and he took a piece thereof, and wrote upon it—In memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children—and he fastened it upon the end of a pole.
"And he fastened on his head-plate, and his breastplate, and his shields, and girded on his armor about his loins; and he took the pole, which had on the end thereof his rent coat, (and he called it the title of liberty) and he bowed himself to the earth, and he prayed mightily unto his God for the blessings of liberty to rest upon his brethren, so long as there should a band of Christians remain to possess the land—" -- Alma 46:11-13
"Further, we warn that the disintegration of the family will bring upon individuals, communities, and nations the calamities foretold by ancient and modern prophets." -- The Family: A Proclamation to the World

excellent collection of material, Lindsay - anyone reviewing your information certainly has all the information they need to cast an educated vote. Thank you. I believe that this is probably an even more important issue than what we even imagine.
I hate repeat myself, I just read Leah's blog, but you said that wonderfully. Thank you for sharing with all of us and being so couragous.
We COMPLETELY agree and are very hopeful that it will pass.
AMEN!
