I was talking to someone in my lab yesterday about "change blindness" and he showed me some interesting videos. Change blindness is basically the inability for people to perceive change under certain conditions. The following are several videos that contain two different images which alternate between a gray screen. The interesting thing is just how hard it is to spot the changes! See how long it takes you to see the difference between the images.

These took me forever to figure out what was different. It's pretty obvious once you know what you are looking for, but don't feel bad if it takes you a long time to figure it out.
