Yesterday we thought it would be fun to go see some sites around San Jose. Our first stop was at the NASA Ames Exploration Center. It was definitely not what we expected and it seemed as if the place hadn't been updated in 15 years. It was kind of funny because we had a hard time finding it and eventually came across this grocery store called the Commissary located inside of NASA's property. Only people who worked at NASA were allowed to buy food there. We went inside to ask where the visitor's center was and nobody knew what we were talking about.
We finally drove back to the entrance and asked a security guard and he told us where it was. We actually weren't supposed to enter the grounds of NASA (it's supposed to be a secured area... oops!) and it was the first thing we drove by when we got there. Here is a picture of us in our nifty space suits.
Next stop was at the Computer History Museum. This is located right by where Trevor works. It was a pretty cool museum and had lots of old computers.
There was this one exhibit with an invention by Charles Babbage that would calculate tables that solved polynomials to the seventh order (such as x^7 + 6x^6 + ... = 15). It was pretty amazing because he invented it back in the 1800's, but never saw one actually built. People used his designs and built one to prove that his design worked. It is called the Difference Engine.
After we went to the Computer History Museum we were really tired and we still had to go grocery shopping so we decided to call it a day.Today we decided to try a new recipe and we made Thai chicken pizza. It was really good and had a great flavor that was different from your normal tomato sauce pizza. It was definitely something that we would make again!

Thanks for the pictures of Calvin! CUTE!! Sounds like an interesting day. You lost me on that equation with the machine, but it does facinate me that something like that was invented back in the 1800s! Pizza looks yummy, too. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

Calvin is getting so big and awfully cute! I am glad you guys are doing something interesting every weekend, it makes your blog something to look forward to. We miss you guys so much!
There is so much to do in California. That's great that you're taking advantage of it and getting to see all of that fun stuff. :)

Sarah, I get an average of 5-6 hours of sleep a night. It's not too bad, but it does wear on me a little.
